After an extensive 1:1 coaching career spanning well over 20 years, the last 7 years has seen Nam really immerse himself deeper into team environments & since then he’s had the great privilege to work with 2018-19 NRL Premiers the ‘Sydney Roosters’, 2019 AFL Premiers the ‘Richmond Tigers’, Australia’s Olympic Teams in Surfing, Sailing, Kayaking & Snowboarding. As with his 1:1 Coaching, Nam has an incredible talent to connect with coaches and athletes and deliver his message in a way that is easy to understand & practice.

It is Nam’s vast experience and knowledge of high performance breath work & state management that usually attracts the attention of teams first, his methods combining science & innovation, a style that invigorates those looking for new ways to grow & perform at their best.

Nam’s flagship program known as Breath Enhancement Training (BET) helps athletes develop effective breathing practices for high intensity experiences, mental regulation, decision-making & recovery. Whether athletes are land or water based, breathwork training begins with theory and land-based practices ‘at rest’, before heading in to the water for more dynamic activities which challenge the breath, finer motor skills and decision making simultaneously! Learnings are transferable across all sporting domains and also support the pressures of everyday life in & out of the competitive arena.

Continuing work moves in to the areas of physical & mental skill frameworks. Nam’s ‘way’ involves training the 3 areas of performance together – body, mind & skill, pushing athletes to the edge of their comfort zone so that key traits (favourable & unfavourable) can be identified in-the-moment and new skills can be learnt, applied & tested immediately. Team members are able to work out quickly what does & doesn’t support them and/or the team in operating at their best.
